The apartments block has been constructed in terms of the typical Greek financing system of “antiparochi”. The building includes a permanent sculpture exhibition on ground level and apartments of 80sqm each on the upper levels. Open spaces are configured in front of the built ones as a continuation of urban public space, thus allowing the building to embrace the living social space of the city and the adjacent “Syggros” park. The building follows the syntactic coherence of “base”, “body” and “top” as it can be found in the modernist architecture of the 30’s.
